What's the difference between a serum and a moisturizer?

Serums are designed to deliver the highest concentration of active ingredients in skincare. They are usually liquid or gel-like in texture, and their primary function is to treat and repair skin. In comparison, the primary function of a moisturizer is to hydrate. Moisturizers may contain anti aging ingredients, but they are more diluted in a thicker emollient mix and unable to penetrate the skin as effectively to yield the highest results possible.

Why doesn't Glowing Essence contain a suncreen?

The purpose of sunscreen is to form a protective barrier on your skin to block harmful UV rays and free radical exposure. Serums are intended to penetrate the layers of your skin to deliver a high concentration of active ingredients. Combining the two products can actually block the absorption and decrease the effectiveness of a serum. Both are essential for beautiful and healthy skin, but work best separately and in the correct order.

My skin is extremely sensitive and prone to acne and rosacea. Should I be cautious when using Glowing Essence?

Not at all! Glowing Essence is designed to treat all types of skin inflammation and contains ingredients that control oil production and target bacteria that causes acne and rosacea.

Why do I need moisturizer if my skin is oily?

Moisture increases the water content of the skin and is essential for skin to function properly and stay healthy. The sebum (oil) that your face produces is not the same as hydration. Sebum is thick and, when produced in excess, can clog pores and attract dirt. Glowing Essence contains ingredients to increase and retain hydration content of the skin.
